Helius Technologies in Singapore is seeking a hands-on Senior Technical Consultant to design, develop, and integrate banking technology solutions, focusing on error handling, AI Ops, and feature flag management.

You will translate requirements into code, configurations, and integrations, deliver from design through production deployment and hypercare, and collaborate with Lead Consultants to ensure quality, maintainability, and successful operational support.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT or a related discipline.
• 6-9 years of relevant experience in software development, system integration or technical consulting.
• Hands-on expertise in backend development or AI/ML, with cloud and automation exposure.
• Experience with AWS, Azure or GCP and containerisation technologies.
• Proficiency in SQL/NoSQL databases, Kafka and integration patterns.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and communication skills.

Senior Technical Consultant - Backend, AI Ops & Automation

Location: Changi

About the Role

We are seeking a hands‑on Senior Technical Consultant to design, develop, integrate and test banking technology solutions across error handling, AI Ops and feature flag management.

Working closely with Lead Consultants, you will translate requirements into working code, configurations and integrations, supporting delivery from detailed design through production deployment and hypercare.

Key Responsibilities

Solution Design and Development

• Analyse requirements and prepare functional designs, configuration documents and technical specifications.

• Develop and optimise solutions for error handling, AI Ops or feature flag management.

• Build integrations with APIs, backend services, databases, Kafka and monitoring platforms.

• Write clean, maintainable and well‑documented code.

• Configure capabilities such as anomaly detection, automated recovery workflows and code analysis tools.

Testing and Quality Assurance

• Perform functional and integration testing and support UAT.

• Conduct code reviews and maintain coding standards.

• Troubleshoot defects and performance issues across application layers.

• Validate solution behaviour in test and production environments.

• Document test cases, results and lessons learned.

Deployment and Production Support

• Lead or support deployments, cutover planning, data validation and defect resolution.

• Provide post‑go‑live support and hypercare.

• Monitor performance and proactively resolve operational issues.

• Prepare runbooks and operational documentation for banking teams.

Collaboration and Knowledge Transfer

• Work with business users, project managers and technical teams throughout delivery.

• Prepare system demonstrations, training materials and end‑user training.

• Share technical knowledge and contribute to reusable assets and delivery improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT or a related discipline.

• 6-9 years of relevant experience in software development, system integration or technical consulting.

• Strong hands‑on expertise in at least one of the following areas:

  • Backend development: Java, Python or Node.js; RESTful APIs and microservices.

  • AI/ML: ML frameworks, model deployment, monitoring and alerting.

  • DevOps and automation: CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code and automated testing.

• Experience with AWS, Azure or GCP, alongside containerisation technologies.

• Proficiency in SQL/NoSQL databases, Kafka and system integration patterns.

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.

• Good communication and stakeholder collaboration skills.

• Ability to deliver quality work within tight project timelines.

Preferred Experience

• Banking or financial‑services applications.

• Observability tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, Splunk or ELK.

• AI/ML platforms and tools.

• Feature flag platforms such as LaunchDarkly or Split.io.

• Security best practices and compliance requirements.

• Agile/Scrum delivery.
