Job summary

INTUIT RECRUITMENT PTE. LTD. is assisting an Environmental Services client in Singapore to hire a Technical Chemist (Waste Treatment Operations).

The position is permanent and based in Tuas, with transport provided and a 5-day work week from 8am to 5pm. The salary package offers up to SGD 3,600 plus transport allowance and bonus. Qualifications

• Degree in Chemistry, Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 1 year of experience preferred; training will be provided for inexperienced candidates.
• Willing to work in a plant / industrial environment.

Responsibilities

• Supervise waste receiving, unloading, segregation, storage and distribution processes to ensure smooth operations.
• Verify incoming waste and coordinate the handling of discrepancies with relevant departments.
• Manage waste storage and space allocation in coordination with operations teams.
• Review and improve existing workflows, treatment methods and operating procedures to enhance efficiency and optimise costs.
• Evaluate opportunities for waste recovery, reuse and improved treatment methods.
• Develop appropriate handling and treatment procedures for new or unfamiliar waste streams.
• Conduct regular inspections of plant processes, work areas, equipment and safety conditions.
• Provide safety briefings and training to staff on proper waste handling, PPE and risk controls.
• Support emergency response activities and coordinate with relevant teams to ensure operational and safety readiness.
• Perform other duties and improvement projects as assigned.

JobRequirements:
