Job summary

CAPCO is seeking a senior Tech Lead to drive the design and delivery of scalable, secure technology solutions across cloud, on-premise, and hybrid environments. You will guide architecture, APIs, data pipelines, and enable strong DevOps practices while collaborating with business, product, and engineering teams.

The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, architectural excellence, and a pragmatic approach to risk and performance within Agile settings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in software engineering or technology delivery with technical leadership responsibilities.
• Hands-on software development background with experience leading engineering teams.
• Strong knowledge of modern application architecture, distributed systems, APIs, and microservices.
• Good understanding of data architecture, data modelling, ETL/ELT, data pipelines, and data integration.
• Experience with cloud platforms and modern engineering practices.
• Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases and strong SQL fundamentals.
• Strong understanding of security, scalability, availability, performance, and non-functional requirements.
• Experience with DevOps, CI/CD, source control, automated testing, and code quality practices.
• Strong problem-solving skills and pragmatic technical decision-making.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management across technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical design and delivery across applications, integrations, and data-driven solutions.
• Translate business requirements into scalable, maintainable technical solutions.
• Provide hands-on technical leadership, including design and code reviews, troubleshooting, and implementation guidance.
• Define and apply engineering standards, architectural patterns, and development best practices.
• Collaborate with business, product, architecture, engineering, and infrastructure teams throughout the delivery lifecycle.
• Design and build solutions across cloud, on-premise, and hybrid environments.
• Guide application and integration design using APIs, microservices, messaging, and event-driven approaches.
• Apply strong data fundamentals including data modelling, ETL/ELT, data pipelines, and data integration.
• Ensure solutions meet security, performance, scalability, availability, and reliability requirements.
• Identify technical risks, dependencies, and constraints and drive practical resolution.
• Support Agile delivery through estimation, backlog refinement, solution clarification, and technical decision-making.
• Work with stakeholders to balance delivery priorities, technical quality, and long-term maintainability.
