Job summary

CAPCO is seeking a senior Tech Lead to drive the design and delivery of scalable, secure technology solutions across cloud, on-premise, and hybrid environments. You will guide architecture, APIs, data pipelines, and enable strong DevOps practices while collaborating with business, product, and engineering teams.

The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, architectural excellence, and a pragmatic approach to risk and performance within Agile settings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in software engineering or technology delivery with technical leadership responsibilities.
• Hands-on software development background with experience leading engineering teams.
• Strong knowledge of modern application architecture, distributed systems, APIs, and microservices.
• Good understanding of data architecture, data modelling, ETL/ELT, data pipelines, and data integration.
• Experience with cloud platforms and modern engineering practices.
• Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases and strong SQL fundamentals.
• Strong understanding of security, scalability, availability, performance, and non-functional requirements.
• Experience with DevOps, CI/CD, source control, automated testing, and code quality practices.
• Strong problem-solving skills and pragmatic technical decision-making.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management across technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Define and apply engineering standards, architectural patterns, and development best practices.

• Ensure solutions meet security, performance, scalability, availability, and reliability requirements.
• Identify technical risks, dependencies, and constraints and drive practical resolution.
• Support Agile delivery through estimation, backlog refinement, solution clarification, and technical decision-making.
• Work with stakeholders to balance delivery priorities, technical quality, and long-term maintainability.

Role Summary

The Tech Lead plays a key role in leading the design and delivery of scalable, secure, and high-performing technology solutions. This is a hands‑on leadership role combining strong software engineering and solution design skills with a solid understanding of data and modern data platforms.

Working across the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), the Tech Lead works closely with business, product, architecture, and engineering teams to translate requirements into practical technical solutions, guide implementation, and ensure high-quality delivery within Agile environments.

What You’ll Do

What We’re Looking For

Additional Skills & Experience

• Experience within Financial Services, Banking, Insurance, Telecommunications, E-commerce, or Enterprise Technology environments
• Knowledge of containerization, orchestration, and cloud-native technologies
• Exposure to data governance, data quality, lineage, and security principles
• Experience leading or mentoring software engineers and data engineers
