Job summary

GIC is seeking a Finance Business Partner to support the technology departments with financial planning, performance management, and advisory services. You will build dashboards and insights, modernize FP&A, and drive automation to improve the quality of financial reporting.

You will lead budgeting cycles, collaborate with stakeholders at all levels, and mentor junior staff while ensuring compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Degree in Finance and Accounting.
• 6–10 years of progressive finance experience, including recent roles supporting technology functions in financial institutions or large multinationals.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and partnership across levels.
• Proficiency in FP&A, controllership, business controls, processes, and compliance with statutory regulations.
• High agility, acting quickly and adapting plans to changing demands.
• Driven self‑starter with initiative and resourcefulness.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, interpreting complex data sets and providing actionable insights.
• Proficiency in data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI or equivalent) an added advantage.
• Experience applying automation and advanced analytics within finance an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary finance partner to assigned technology departments, providing financial reporting, analysis, and advisory.
• Help technology teams optimise resources, challenge spend, track value and ensure disciplined decisions aligned with GIC’s priorities.
• Lead the annual planning and budgeting cycle, delivering timely, accurate forecasts that surface opportunities and risks early.
• Build insightful dashboards and reports using data analytics to give leaders clear, data‑driven views.
• Drive automation and AI into FP&A and reporting, streamlining processes and improving insight quality.
• Support benchmarking, business cases and improvement initiatives to strengthen financial excellence.
• Apply FP&A, financial modelling, business controls and compliance knowledge to guide stakeholders and mentor junior team members.
