Job summary

SKK Chelsea Consultancy SIN LLP in Singapore is seeking a dedicated Teacher Assistant to support teachers by preparing activities, supervising students, and helping manage daily classroom routines.

You will assist with enrichment activities, monitor student care, and help maintain an organized, safe learning space while following school policies and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Basic English and/or Chinese communication to support bilingual interactions.
• Experience in student care, tuition, enrichment centres, childcare, or education settings to enhance support.
• Basic computer and administrative skills to assist with classroom and office tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers in preparing and delivering classroom activities and learning materials to enhance student engagement.
• Supervise students during homework, spelling, reading, and other learning activities to ensure focus and completion.
• Assist with organizing and facilitating art, craft, games, outdoor activities, and learning journeys to enrich student experiences.
• Assist with student arrival and dismissal procedures to ensure smooth transitions.
• Follow all company policies and child-safety procedures to ensure compliance and student welfare.

Job Summary

The Teacher Assistant supports teachers in creating a safe, positive, and engaging learning environment by assisting with classroom activities, supervising homework, supporting enrichment programmes, and managing day-to-day student care.

Responsibilities

Classroom Support

• Assist teachers in preparing and delivering classroom activities and learning materials to enhance student engagement
• Support students during lessons and group work to facilitate understanding and participation
• Maintain a safe, positive, and organized classroom environment to promote effective learning
• Prepare and arrange teaching materials and classroom resources for smooth lesson flow
• Perform basic administrative and classroom duties to support teachers’ daily tasks

Student Support

• Supervise students during homework, spelling, reading, and other learning activities to ensure focus and completion
• Provide guidance and encouragement to students to foster confidence and independence
• Monitor student behavior and safety to maintain a respectful and secure environment
• Support children during transitions between activities to minimize disruptions
• Encourage positive behavior, teamwork, and good manners among students

Enrichment & Activities

• Assist with organizing and facilitating art, craft, games, outdoor activities, and learning journeys to enrich student experiences
• Support play-based and screen-free activities to promote creativity and social skills
• Assist teachers during field trips, heritage tours, and outdoor programmes to ensure student safety and engagement
• Help set up and clean up activity areas before and after events to maintain orderliness
• Actively participate in children’s activities to keep students engaged and motivated

Daily Operations

• Assist with student arrival and dismissal procedures to ensure smooth transitions
• Support meal, snack, and personal-care routines as needed to meet student needs
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of activity areas to provide a healthy environment
• Communicate student concerns or incidents promptly to teachers or management for appropriate action
• Follow all company policies and child-safety procedures to ensure compliance and student welfare

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Basic English and/or Chinese communication skills to support bilingual interactions
• Experience in student care, tuition, enrichment centres, childcare, or education settings to enhance support effectiveness
• Basic computer and administrative skills to assist with classroom and office tasks
• Interest or skills in art, sports, music, dance, or other children’s activities to contribute to enrichment programmes
