Job summary

FIRST KONNECTION PTE. LTD. is seeking Student Care Teachers to support daily care, learning and development of primary school students in Singapore centres. You will supervise daily routines, guide homework, manage behaviour and create a safe, structured environment.

You will assist with school holidays and school term schedules, coordinate with parents and colleagues, and help with basic centre administration as needed. This role emphasizes caring, patient guidance with students.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Early Childhood Education, Social Services, Education or related field preferred.
• Candidates without a diploma may be considered with relevant experience.
• Prior experience in student care, childcare, teaching, tuition or working with primary school children is an advantage.
• Ability to guide homework and academic revision in English.
• Strong spoken and written English to communicate with parents and colleagues.
• Patient, responsible and calm in managing students.
• Organised handling of attendance and student records.
• Willingness to work the stated school term and school holiday schedules.

Responsibilities

• Manage students’ daily routines including arrival and dismissal and meals.
• Perform school pick up duties from nearby schools when required.
• Supervise and guide students in completing daily homework.
• Guide students with homework across primary subjects, including Chinese where needed.
• Support spelling practice and reinforce key academic areas.
• Review and mark students’ work accurately and promptly.
• Monitor students’ academic progress, behaviour and wellbeing.
• Plan and conduct activities based on lesson plans and schedules.
• Maintain attendance, student progress and incident records.
• Communicate professionally with parents regarding progress and wellbeing.
• Support basic centre administration and operational duties.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised learning environment.
• Conduct and support school holiday programmes.
• Assist with other duties when required.

Work Locations

The successful candidate will be assigned to 1 main centre. Occasionally, you may be asked to support another centre when additional manpower is required. Advance notice will be provided.

Working Hours

During School Terms

Monday to Friday, 10:00am to 7:00pm

During School Holidays

• 7:00am to 4:00pm
• 8:00am to 5:00pm
• 9:00am to 6:00pm

No Saturday work is required.
