Job summary

Seacare Manpower Services Pte Ltd is seeking a Teacher Aide - NFS for a secondary school in Bendemeer. The role involves supervising students, assisting with discipline, supporting events, and maintaining records related to incidents.

Applicants should have at least 1 year in a school kitchen or similar environment, with a GCE N-Level and English proficiency; additional language skills are an advantage. Basic MS Word/Excel and ability to handle kitchen equipment are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a school kitchen or similar environment.
• Minimum GCE N-Level qualification.
• Culinary or food-related Nitec/Higher Nitec qualifications are an advantage.
• Proficient in spoken and written English, with ability to converse in at least one other language.
• Able to operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, cookers, blenders and steamers.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular walkabouts and supervise designated areas to maintain student discipline.
• Supervise students during detention, reflection sessions and community service.
• Assist with incident investigations and maintain relevant records.
• Guide students in addressing behavioural and disciplinary issues.
• Support school events and student development programmes.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Teacher Aide - NFS (Secondary School - Bendemeer) x1

Salary: $2,400/month

Contract Duration: 1 year, with option to extend for another year

Contract Period: January 2027 - December 2027

Working Hours:

Monday-Thursday: 7:30am-4:00pm, inclusive of 30-minute lunch break

Friday: 7:30am-3:30pm, inclusive of 30-minute lunch break

Working Days: Monday-Friday

No Service: Saturdays, Sundays, gazetted public holidays, and specified school holiday periods.

Job Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a school kitchen or similar environment.

• Culinary or food science-related Nitec/Higher Nitec qualifications are an advantage.
• Proficient in spoken and written English, with the ability to converse in at least one other language.

• Able to communicate with suppliers via email under the supervision of the teacher-in-charge.
