Job summary

GMP Technologies’ client, a reputable shipping MNC, seeks a Technical Manager (Tanker) to lead the technical management of their tanker fleet in Singapore. You will drive maintenance, safety, and cost efficiency across all vessels.

You will set policies, oversee procurement, monitor KPIs, and ensure compliance with flag state and class rules while fostering collaboration with crew and shore teams to sustain high operational reliability.

Qualifications

• COC Class 1 Motor certificate required.
• Minimum 5 years shore experience in tanker ship management.
• Managerial or supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong leadership, organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for technical management of the fleet.
• Oversee ship maintenance, dry docking, repairs and cost control.
• Promote HSSE safety culture across operations.
• Develop and implement fleet policies to reduce costs.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and class requirements.
• Set KPIs for technical and purchasing functions and monitor performance.
• Engage with crew, shore staff and stakeholders to ensure seamless operations.
