Job summary

MGM SHIP MANAGEMENT PTE. LTD. seeks an experienced Master to lead vessel operations, ensuring safety, compliance with MLC 2006, and adherence to company QHSE policies. The role requires strong leadership to manage crew and emergencies at sea.

The incumbent will consult the DPA when in doubt, ensure proper security awareness, and coordinate with the crewing manager on disciplinary issues and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• COC I or II must be held.
• Valid STCW certification required.
• Minimum 2 years in a Master capacity.

Responsibilities

• Carry out duties as Master in a professional manner in the interest of the company, and in safety of life at sea and protection of property and environment.
• Comply with the safety management manual during emergencies to mitigate situations.
• Consult the DPA for guidance when in doubt.
• Ensure compliance with Company QHSE policies and correct unsafe conditions.
• Familiarize crew with the QSM system and Security awareness and explain as applicable.
• Mediate crew affairs and handle disciplinary issues; report complaints related to Maritime Labour Convention (MLC 2006) or national regulations to the crewing manager.
