Kerry Consulting has partnered with an Oil Major to hire a Tanker Operator to support its Singapore shipping activities. The role will manage tanker vessel operations across spot, voyage charter and term activities, coordinating with traders, charterers, shipowners, terminals, agents and internal stakeholders.

Reporting to the Head of Shipping, you will handle pre- and post-fixture operations, voyage planning, scheduling, nominations, and instruction issuance, ensuring smooth voyage execution

Competenze

• Degree in Maritime Studies or a related discipline is required.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in shipping operations.
• Strong knowledge of oil tanker operations, voyage execution and charter-party terms.
• Experience with spot and term cargoes, tanker terminal operations and emissions compliance advantageous.

Role

Reporting to the Head of Shipping, the role will manage pre- and post-fixture operations for oil tanker vessels, including voyage planning, vessel scheduling, agency nominations, voyage instructions, loading and discharge coordination, port cost review and charter-party settlements. The role will support vessel enquiries across global time zones, review shipping and charter-party terms, and coordinate closely with shipowners, terminals and other counterparties to ensure smooth voyage execution.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will hold a Degree in Maritime Studies or a related discipline and have a minimum of 3 years of experience in shipping operations. Candidates should have strong knowledge of oil tanker operations, voyage execution, charter-party terms, port costs and shipping documentation. Experience with spot and term cargoes, tanker terminal operations, newbuild vessels and emissions compliance will be advantageous.
