Job summary

STEEL ALLY RESOURCES PTE. LTD. is seeking an experienced tailor to discuss design needs with customers, take precise measurements, and craft and repair garments with care. You will label, measure, and record preferences, while providing cost estimates for custom pieces.

The role requires strong sewing skills, fabric knowledge, excellent customer service, and the ability to work long hours, including weekends and public holidays. Attention to detail and reliability are essential.

• Proven experience as a Tailor.
• Knowledge of fabrics and garment construction.
• Ability to operate a sewing machine.

Responsibilities

• Discuss design, alteration or repair needs with customers to meet specifications.
• Take customers' measurements with a tape measure.
• Record measurements and preferences accurately.
• Attach labels to garments to prevent errors.
• Repair garments (patching, sewing tears, lining, etc.).
• Provide cost estimates for customized garments.

Tailor Responsibilities:

• Discussing design, alteration, or repair requirements with customers to ensure that their specifications are met.
• Taking customers’ measurements using a tape measure.
• Accurately recording customers' measurements instructions,and preferences.
• Attaching labels to customers' garments to prevent any errors.
• Repairing customers' garments, which includes patching or sewing tears and holes.gs, lining sheer garments, removing pockets, and adding padding.
• Repairing customers' garments, which includes patching or sewing tears and holes.
• Providing customers with cost estimates for the construction of customized garments.

Tailor Requirements:

• Proven experience working as a Tailor.
• Sound knowledge of fabrics as well as clothing design and construction.
• The ability to use a sewing machine.
• Outstanding sewing skills.
• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Good hand-eye coordination.
• Detail-oriented.
