Job summary

PERSOL Tech Services Pte Ltd is seeking a capable IT support professional to provide first-level technical assistance and help maintain Windows and Linux systems. The role involves AD user management, basic patching, and addressing network issues in a fast-paced environment.

You will collaborate with senior IT staff and be part of a team focused on reliable IT operations, security compliance, and continuous learning in IT infrastructure management.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Basic knowledge of Windows Server and Linux operating systems.
• Familiarity with Active Directory and user account administration.
• Understanding of basic networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, NTP, and VLANs.
• Exposure to scripting or automation tools such as PowerShell, Bash, or Ansible will be an advantage.
• Basic understanding of IT support processes, incident handling, software deployment, and system troubleshooting.
• Good problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively as part of a technical team.
• Willingness to learn new technologies and develop a career in IT infrastructure and system administration.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-level technical support for hardware, software, operating system, and basic network-related issues.
• Assist with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of Windows and Linux-based systems.
• Support user account and access management activities using Active Directory.
• Perform routine system checks, software updates, and basic patch management activities.
• Assist in troubleshooting network connectivity issues involving TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and related services.
• Support software deployment, endpoint monitoring, and compliance with IT security procedures.
• Assist in automating routine administrative tasks using scripting or automation tools.
• Log, track, and resolve support requests through the helpdesk or ticketing system.
• Maintain accurate documentation of technical issues, resolutions, IT procedures, and IT assets.
• Work closely with senior IT administrators and technical teams to resolve escalated issues.
