Job summary

ACCLIVIS TECHNOLOGIES AND SOLUTIONS PTE. LTD. Singapore seeks an IT infrastructure specialist focused on IBM i administration and operations support.

You will handle daily health checks, incident management and DR readiness while supporting IBM Power Systems, BRMS backups and LPAR environments. You will also assist in project delivery, server builds, migrations and documentation. The role emphasizes hands-on administration, collaboration with senior engineers, and involvement in modernization

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in information technology, computer science, engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in IBM i (AS400) administration and support.
• Knowledge of IBM Power Systems, HMC, VIOS and LPAR administration.
• Experience with BRMS backup and disaster recovery operations.
• Familiarity with storage, virtualization and enterprise infrastructure environments.
• Basic knowledge of Windows, Linux and networking concepts.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Operations Support (70%): perform daily health checks, monitoring, incident escalation and DR readiness.
• Manage BRMS backup operations, disaster recovery readiness and standby support.
• Maintain operational documentation and liaise with customers on incidents.
• Project Delivery (30%): assist in implementation, server builds, LPAR provisioning and migrations.
• Participate in planning, testing and handover activities; document completed projects.

Job Description:

• Support implementation and deployment of IT infrastructure solutions across internal and customer environments.
• Support the operations, implementation and deployment of IBM Power Systems and IBM i (AS400) infrastructure solutions across internal and customer environments.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Operations Support (70%)

• Perform daily health checks, monitoring and operational support for IBM i (AS400) environments.
• Manage incident troubleshooting, escalation and problem resolution.
• Monitor BRMS backup operations, replication status and disaster recovery readiness.
• Support system maintenance, patching and infrastructure lifecycle activities.
• Participate in DR exercises, restoration activities and critical incident response.
• Maintain operational documentation, SOPs and knowledge base articles.
• Liaise with customers on operational matters, service requests and incident updates.
• Participate in standby support and after-hours maintenance activities as required.

Project Delivery (30%)

• Assist in implementation and deployment of IBM Power Systems, virtualization, storage and infrastructure solutions.
• Support server builds, LPAR provisioning, system migrations and upgrade activities.
• Participate in project planning, implementation, testing and handover activities.
• Support disaster recovery implementations and infrastructure modernization projects
• Prepare technical documentation and transition completed projects into operations.
• Work closely with Senior Systems Engineers on complex infrastructure projects.
