Job summary

MKS Instruments, Inc. is seeking a hands-on Mechanical and Electrical Assembly Technician to perform laser optics alignment, calibration, and final testing on capital equipment.

You will work on complex systems, install optical components, and troubleshoot using a range of instruments while coordinating with vendors to ensure timely shipment and adherence to takt time. The role requires independent work after training, strong quality and safety mindset, and willingness to work overtime or on

• Higher NITEC or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering.
• Hands-on technical aptitude with a focus on quality and safety.

Responsibilities

• Perform Mechanical and Electrical Assembly, Laser Optics Alignment, Calibration and Final Testing on Capital Equipment per Technical Instructions.
• Coordinate with vendors to prepare Capital Equipment for shipment.
• Meet takt-time for capital equipment builds and monitor material delivery to ensure schedules.
• Own the entire build process respecting Company Quality and Safety requirements.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and ensure calibration schedules for tools.
