Job summary

VDL ETG Singapore seeks a Manufacturing Quality Assurance Lead to drive quality across assembly operations and lead QA activities. You will oversee in-process and outgoing QA, monitor FPY and related metrics, and provide technical guidance to inspectors and cross-functional teams.

Requirements include a Bachelor in Engineering or Materials Science and 5 years QA experience with 3 years in leadership, plus strong knowledge of 8D, SPC, MSA, FMEA, QFD, 6-sigma, PPAP, GD&T, and reading drawings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Chemical) or Material Science
• 5 years of experience in Quality Assurance, with at least 3 years in a supervisory leadership role in manufacturing
• Strong knowledge of 8D, SPC, MSA, FMEA, QFD, 6-sigma, PPAP, and change management
• Good understanding of First Article Inspection requirements and expectations
• Strong in GD&T knowledge and reading engineering drawings
• Strategic, creative and systemic thinking with excellent leadership and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Lead in-process and outgoing quality assurance activities to ensure products meet customer requirements and quality standards
• Monitor_FP_Y, DPU, OQI and customer quality metrics to achieve targets
• Analyze quality trends, defects, and non-conformance data to identify risks and improvement opportunities
• Lead cross-functional quality improvement projects to improve process efficiency and effectiveness
• Lead root cause investigations using 5 Why, Fishbone, A3, and 8D methodologies
• Drive CAPA and verify/validate actions to prevent recurrence of issues
• Review and approve quality documentation, inspection records, and Certificates of Conformance prior to shipment
• Lead investigations and disposition of non-conforming materials and workmanship issues
• Supervise, coach, and develop quality inspectors to strengthen inspection systems
• Collaborate with engineering to develop/implement quality control plans and inspection criteria
• Support NPI and product transfer activities ensuring quality planning and inspection controls
• Responsible for manufacturing QA including in-process, semi-finished, and outgoing quality
• Develop and optimize CMM measurement programs using LK, Zeiss, Mitutoyo
• Perform dimensional inspections and validate measurement methods
• Support setup and continuous improvement of inspection processes and instructions
