NCS is seeking a detail-oriented System Engineer in Singapore with proven expertise in Red Hat Enterprise Linux. You will design, implement, and maintain robust Linux-based infrastructure supporting our enterprise operations.

The role emphasizes automation through Bash scripts, performance tuning, storage management, and security hardening. Collaboration with cross-functional teams and strong documentation are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of hands-on experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux administration and management.
• Strong proficiency in Linux system architecture, kernel concepts, and OS fundamentals.
• Scripting (Bash) and system automation experience.
• Solid understanding of networking concepts, TCP/IP, and network configuration.
• Experience with storage management (ext4, XFS) and LVM.
• Knowledge of performance tuning, monitoring, and diagnostics.
• Familiarity with configuration management principles and tools.
• Strong analytical and documentation skills.

We're looking for a detail-oriented and analytical System Engineer with expertise in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) to join our organization in Singapore. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust Linux-based infrastructure solutions that support our enterprise operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical acumen, organizational skills, and the ability to optimize system performance while ensuring reliability and security across our infrastructure landscape.

• Design, deploy, and manage Red Hat Enterprise Linux systems and infrastructure across the organization
• Perform system administration tasks including user management, access control, and security configurations
• Analyze system performance metrics and implement optimization strategies to enhance efficiency and reliability
• Develop and maintain shell scripts and automation solutions to streamline operational tasks and reduce manual workload
• Troubleshoot complex system issues and provide timely resolutions with detailed documentation
• Configure and manage storage systems, file systems, and disk partitioning according to organizational standards
• Implement and maintain system monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions to ensure proactive issue detection
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support application deployment and infrastructure requirements
• Ensure compliance with security policies and best practices through regular system hardening and vulnerability assessments
• Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, procedures, and architectural decisions
• Participate in capacity planning and infrastructure upgrades to support business growth
• Provide technical support and guidance to junior team members and other departments

Qualifications

**Required Skills and Experience:**

• Minimum 3+ years of hands-on experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux administration and management
• Strong proficiency in Linux system architecture, kernel concepts, and operating system fundamentals
• Demonstrated expertise in shell scripting (Bash) and system automation
• Solid understanding of networking concepts, TCP/IP protocols, and network configuration
• Experience with storage management, file systems (ext4, XFS), and logical volume management (LVM)
• Proficiency in system performance tuning, monitoring, and diagnosticsKnowledge of configuration management principles and tools
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail
• Excellent organizational and documentation skills

**Preferred Skills and Experience:**

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform)
• Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools and practices
• Experience with monitoring and logging solutions (Prometheus, ELK Stack, Grafana)
• Understanding of security hardening, compliance standards, and vulnerability management
• Experience with high availability and disaster recovery solutions
• Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) or Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) certification
• Experience with version control systems and CI/CD pipelines
