Job summary

Akribis Systems Pte Ltd is seeking an IT Systems Administrator to support day-to-day operations, automate routine tasks, and improve reliability for engineering teams.

Working with the SRE, you will administer Entra ID, Microsoft 365, and endpoints, build automation with PowerShell and Power Automate, and help digitize IT processes across the organization.

You will contribute to documentation, onboarding/offboarding, and proactive improvement of IT services within a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in IT, CS, network engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 2 years hands-on experience in systems administration or infra support.
• Experience administering Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) and Microsoft 365.
• Knowledge of Windows Server, Windows 10/11, and Active Directory.
• Experience supporting servers, workstations, laptops, and enterprise IT infra.
• Basic networking concepts: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLAN, VPN, firewall principles.
• Familiarity with endpoint security, antivirus, and device management.
• Experience with IT asset management and user access provisioning.
• Understanding of IT security, IAM, and cybersecurity best practices.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
• Good communication and ability to work independently and in a team.
• Experience with outsourced vendors or MSPs is an advantage.

Responsibilities

Job description

This role combines systems administration, scripting, and process improvement to reduce manual work, improve reliability, and support day-to-day IT operations. Working closely with the Site Reliability Engineer, you will help maintain core systems, drive meaningful automation, and contribute to a more efficient and stable IT environment for our engineering teams.

Roles & Responsibilities:

1. Administer and maintain core systems including Entra ID, asset management platforms, and endpoint security solutions, ensuring data hygiene, access control, and smooth operations.

2. Develop and maintain automation using PowerShell and Microsoft Power Automate (cloud flows, approvals, notifications) to reduce manual effort and improve process consistency.

3. Manage network topology documentation and collaborate with the SRE on network monitoring, alerting, and basic security controls.

4. Support physical infrastructure operations (servers, workstations, laptops) and coordinate with outsourced MSPs on operational tasks and service delivery.

5. Map existing processes, identify simplification opportunities, and digitize workflows by integrating tools such as SharePoint, Microsoft Forms, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.

6. Implement proper controls for automation solutions, including access management, error handling, audit trails, and escalation paths.

7. Perform testing, deployment, monitoring, and troubleshooting of automation solutions to ensure stable and reliable operation.

8. Create and maintain clear documentation (process maps, runbooks, user guides) and support knowledge transfer to users and the wider IT team.

9. Provide responsive support for user onboarding/offboarding, access provisioning, and ad-hoc IT operational needs.

10. Continuously review deployed automations and systems, measure impact (time saved, error reduction), and propose new improvement initiatives.

Requirements

1. Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in IT, Computer Science, Network Engineering, or related field.

2. Minimum 2 years of hands‑on experience in systems administration or infrastructure support.

3. Experience administering Microsoft Entra ID (Azure Active Directory) and Microsoft 365 environment.
