Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain Windows and/or Linux servers (Redhat)
• Monitor system performance, availability, and capacity utilization
• Perform preventive maintenance, patch management, and system upgrades
• Manage server lifecycle activities, including deployment and decommissioning
• Ensure high availability of mission-critical systems
• Support 24x7 operational requirements and participate in standby/on‑call duties
• Manage physical and virtual server environments (VMware, Hyper‑V, Nutanix)
• Administer storage systems, SAN/NAS platforms, and backup solutions
• Support cloud environments such as Microsoft Azure and AWS
• Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and LDAP services

About the role

The System Administrator is responsible for the administration, maintenance, monitoring, and support of enterprise IT infrastructure or mission critical systems, including servers, operating systems, virtualization platforms, storage systems, and related technologies. The role ensures system availability, security, performance, and compliance while supporting business operations and project initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and maintain Windows and/or Linux servers (Redhat)
• Monitor system performance, availability, and capacity utilization
• Perform preventive maintenance, patch management, and system upgrades
• Manage server lifecycle activities, including deployment and decommissioning
• Ensure high availability of mission-critical systems
• Support 24x7 operational requirements and participate in standby/on‑call duties where required
• Manage physical and virtual server environments (VMware, Hyper‑V, Nutanix)
• Administer storage systems, SAN/NAS platforms, and backup solutions

About you

• Degree or Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 3 to 8 years of experience in system administration or IT infrastructure support
• Experience managing production systems within enterprise environments
• Experience with Microsoft Windows Server (2016/2019/2022)
• Experience with Linux (Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu)
• Experience with VMware vSphere / ESXi, Hyper‑V, or Nutanix
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to manage incidents under pressure
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment
• 5 day week @ AMK area
