Department: EHS & Sustainability Management
Reports to: Department Manager
Functional Relationships with: All Business Units
Position Profile: Based in: Singapore.
Successful candidate will: To lead Sustainability Strategic & Operation Function in MES.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Decarbonisation
- Coordinate initiatives with MES all Business Units, ASEAN and global headquarters to support MES sustainability and decarbonisation strategy, roadmap, activities and targets.
- Drive energy saving, energy efficiency, solar, renewable electricity, RECs and PPAs implementation.
- Monitor regulations, industry trends, risks, opportunities, emerging technologies and recommend practical, innovative and forward-looking sustainability solutions.
- Collect, analyse and report energy, emissions, savings, operational efficiency and financial returns.
- Liaise with customers, government agencies, auditors, consultants and energy suppliers.
Recycling-Oriented
- Work with Production and relevant departments to improve waste reduction, recycling and resource recovery.
- Analyse waste generation, recycling rates, waste diversion, valuable waste and material utilisation.
- Identify opportunities for reuse, recycling, circular economy and process improvement.
- Monitor waste regulations, compliance requirements and recycling technologies.
- Report environmental compliance, operational efficiency and financial benefits.
- Coordinate with waste vendors, recyclers, auditors and government agencies.
Social & Community
- Plan and execute CSR, employee engagement, environmental awareness, volunteering and community outreach activities.
- Coordinate with management, employee committees, community organisations, educational institutions and government agencies.
- Build partnerships with communities, educational institutions and government agencies and track participation, programme outcomes and social impact.
Ability / Competency Required
- At least 2-3 years of relevant experience in sustainability, EHS, facilities, energy, environmental management or manufacturing engineering.
- Working knowledge of ISO 14001, ISO 50001, energy audits, greenhouse-gas accounting, Scope 1-3 emissions and environmental compliance.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with Power BI or similar tools is an advantage.
- Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder-management skills.
- Able to work independently and coordinate across multiple functions and locations.
- Practical, proactive and comfortable working in a manufacturing environment.
- Interested in sustainability, energy management and continuous improvement.
- Problem-solving mindset.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
