Job summary

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/ Electrical/ Environmental /Building Services Engineering, FM or related disciplines.
  • Minimum 3–5 years in FM, building services, sustainability, energy management or related fields.
  • GMAP-FM certification is a must; familiarity with Green Mark requirements and GreenGov initiatives.
  • SCEM certification and related sustainability experience in Green Mark projects preferred.
  • Experience conducting energy audits, analysing utility data and proposing ECMs.

Job description

We are seeking a dynamic and technically competent Green Mark Manager to support the implementation of sustainability, energy management, and Green Mark initiatives across managed facilities and assets. You will work closely with the client, operations teams, and stakeholders to identify, recommend, and implement energy-saving opportunities and sustainability initiatives aligned with Singapore's GreenGov movement and national sustainability targets.

The role involves conducting preliminary energy audits, analysing building energy performance, identifying operational inefficiencies, recommending energy conservation measures, and supporting Green Mark certification and recertification efforts for existing buildings. You are expected to bridge sustainability strategy with operational implementation, ensuring practical, data-driven, and cost-effective solutions are deployed within facilities management operations.

Job Responsibilities:
a) Sustainability & Green Mark Management
  • Lead and support Green Mark certification and recertification initiatives for managed facilities.

  • Advise client and site teams on suitable Green Mark initiatives, sustainability improvements and energy optimisation opportunities.

  • Support the implementation of sustainability initiatives aligned with GreenGov requirements and organisational sustainability goals.

  • Work closely with operations teams to integrate sustainability practices into day-to-day FM operations.

b) Energy Audit & Performance Management
  • Conduct preliminary energy audits and energy performance assessments for building systems and facilities.

  • Obtain and analyse historical energy consumption and utility cost data to identify energy usage trends, inefficiencies, and wastage patterns.

  • Establish energy baselines and monitor building energy performance indicators.

  • Perform data logging, sampling, and analysis of major energy-consuming systems including: Air-conditioning and mechanical ventilation (ACMV) , Mechanical ventilation systems, Data centres, Electrical & Lighting systems, other M&E installations.

c) Technical Analysis & Recommendations
  • Review M&E specifications, operational data, and as-built drawings to understand system configurations and building characteristics.

  • Analyse electrical power distribution patterns and operating efficiency of building systems and equipment.

  • Identify energy-saving opportunities and recommend suitable energy conservation measures (ECMs).

  • Conduct feasibility assessments and cost-benefit analysis for proposed sustainability and energy-saving initiatives.

  • Recommend operational optimisation strategies to reduce energy consumption while maintaining system reliability and occupant comfort.

  • Support initiatives related to: Energy Efficiency, Water Conservation, Waste Reduction, Indoor Environmental Quality (IEQ), Carbon reduction initiatives.

Job Requirements:
  • Degree in Mechanical/ Electrical /Environmental / Building Services Engineering, Facilities Management (FM), Sustainability, Engineering, or related disciplines.

  • Minimum 3 - 5 years of relevant experience in FM, Building Services, Sustainability, Energy Management, or related fields within the built environment sector.

  • Green Mark Accredited Professional (Facilities Management) [GMAP- FM] certification is a must. Familiar with BCA Green Mark requirements, GreenGov initiatives, Building Management Systems (BMS), and energy monitoring or analytics platforms.

  • Singapore Certified Energy Manager (SCEM) certification & relevant sustainability or energy management certifications and experience in Green Mark certification or recertification projects, energy management, and sustainability initiatives for commercial, government, healthcare, educational, or mixed-use developments will be preferred.

  • Hands‑on experience in conducting preliminary energy audits, analysing utility consumption trends, identifying energy wastage, and recommending energy‑saving initiatives for building operations and M&E systems such as ACMV, lighting, ventilation, and electrical systems.

  • Experience in preparing technical reports, audit findings, sustainability recommendations, and cost‑benefit analysis for energy conservation measures, reviewing building operational data, technical drawings, and M&E system performance to identify opportunities for operational improvement and energy optimisation will be advantageous.

  • Strong interpersonal, communication and stakeholder coordination skills and preferably with experience working with operations teams, consultants, contractors, and clients on sustainability‑related initiatives.
