Job summary

Singapore General Hospital's Laboratory of Surgical System & Service Innovation (3SI) seeks a Research Associate or Fellow to join a multidisciplinary team focused on health services research that informs care for patients undergoing surgery.

You will design, implement, and publish studies on real-world surgical outcomes, patient-centered care, health equity, and cost-effectiveness, with responsibilities spanning study design, data analysis, manuscript preparation, and grant support.

Qualifications

• Master’s in public health, clinical investigation, or implementation science OR PhD in related field.
• Strong quantitative and qualitative research skills with health economics exposure.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication; publication track record.

Responsibilities

• Design and lead health services and population health studies (cohorts, qualitative or mixed-methods, trials).
• Apply basic/advanced statistics to evaluation phases of studies.
• Perform qualitative or mixed-method analyses.
• Contribute to implementational processes of proposed research.
• Prepare IRB applications.
• Author manuscripts for publication.
• Assist in grant applications (literature reviews, pilot studies, budgeting).
• Manage projects and budgets; mentor junior team members.
