Job summary

KLA Singapore seeks an experienced Applications Engineer to provide applications development support for SurfScan SPx products. You will develop test cases, analyze defects, and demonstrate products to customers, ensuring solutions meet their needs with detailed specifications.

Ideal candidates have strong technical skills, excellent communication, and knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing, with travel as required.

Qualifications

Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, Material Science, or related fields.
~70% international/ domestic travel may be required.
Strong technical skills to understand tool capabilities and provide root cause analysis and potential solutions for customers.
Excellent oral and written communication, organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
Working knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing.

Responsibilities

Develop test cases; characterize customers defects, new products and/or features.
Provide technical support in the development and implementation of customer applications dealing with SurfScan products and features.
Provide specific product demonstrations on all aspects of highly complex products to customers and assess potential applications to meet customer needs; prepare detailed product specifications.
Characterize tool/algorithm performance and provide clear feedback to the Engineering teams for product improvement, especially during Alpha/Beta tests.
