Job description

Position Summary

Based in Singapore, Pernod Ricard Singapore distributes Pernod Ricard brands in Singapore's Domestic market and more widely in Southeast Asia region via wholesalers, as well as requirement as APAC Hub. PR Singapore is part of the Management Entity Pernod Ricard, reporting to PR Headquarters. Pernod Ricard is currently under a deep digital transformation with a global and common goal of becoming a Platform Company. The full implementation of the CBP (Collaborative Business Planning) is part of the pre-requisites to succeed in this transformation. In this context, an effective and high-performing S&OP process is a key enabler. This position is responsible for supply planning and inventory management for Singapore Domestic market, Wholesale, Cambodia, Indonesia, and Philippines Duty Free channels as well as Hub's supply planning to APAC Market Companies. The position will manage inventory in warehouse and inbound shipments to support all activities and to ensure they are optimised within budget (maximise sales opportunity) and meet market forecast / requirements without excessive inventory risk exposure. The position is to anticipate deviation from ideal stock position (FOOS, Future excess stocks) and to take preventative / corrective action. The position is expected to play a key role by working with other functions such as sales, marketing, demand planning and finance, to prepare replenishment/shipping forecasts and other analytical reports building bottom-up operational plans and by creating and analysing multiple scenarios for planning reconciliation to facilitate the S&OP meeting. The position will support Supply Planning Assistant Manager (SG Cluster) in the development and implementation of key projects, being locally led or part of the Group Digital transformation. Technology enablement in Supply Chain will therefore be a key part of the job which will involve implementation of automated tools for supply planning and replenishment, increased EDI with internal and external customers, improvements in currently used tools like CONNECT, PRODUCT CLOUD, ANAPLAN, Container tracking tools etc. Ownership and change management needed for such implementation would be very critical.

Key Responsibilities

Supply Planning and Inventory Management - Manage and monitor stock for reporting excess, aged and discontinued stock including highlighting future risks to ensure KPI targets are met by working with demand planning, sales & marketing team to drive clearance and optimise inventory. Analyse all forecast for inventory and develop various processes for inventory purchases, calculate re-order quantities, ensuring the correct incorporation of all stock on hand/in transit, committed stock, historic sales data, forecast and re-order quantities to ensure target Days Forecast Cover is met. Monitor inventory targets (including safety stock levels) and prepare replenishment files for management’s review and get approval before actual replenishment to brand companies (BC). Ensure optimum level of inventory is maintained in order for target service levels. Liaising with internal teams to ensure inbound deliveries are on‑time to meet outbound demand. Solutions to ensure stock availability (review with demand planning team on stock expediting, freight solutions, etc) Analysis of inventory to highlight & make the appropriate recommendation to demand and sales planning team for action. Placing purchase orders and ensuring the timely shipment arrival. Overseeing the shipment delay via global tools, make sure the regarding risks are well visualised, mitigated or communicated. Liaise with BC to ensure invoices/shipping docs are emailed prior process of PO cycle & processing GIT into system prior shipment arrival and ensure no outstanding invoices before month end closing. Conducting demand supply match to allocate inventory, promote business priorities, and drive the satisfied service level. Identifying service level improvement opportunities from supply planning perspectives, ie. lead-time optimisation, visibility, etc. Liaise with BC to ensure invoices/shipping docs are emailed prior process of PO cycle & processing GIT into system prior shipment arrival and ensure no outstanding invoices before month end closing. Update Pending shipment files & ensure order acknowledgement from BC within the period of order placed. Responsible for duty payments Coordinate with Distribution and Logistic Team on inbound shipment discrepancy or damage investigation, provide stock disposal instructions (if any) and communicate with Brand Companies for any areas of improvement. Master Data Management Maintain & setup new SKU in Product Cloud, Connect and JDE ERP system. Maintaining and update the land cost revision into JDE ERP system. Responsible for the transfer pricing maintenance process in JDE by working closely with finance team / Brand companies and relevant stakeholders Ensure accuracy of inventory data / information at all times. S&OP - Involved in Demand Review & Pre S&OP Meetings with respective functions & further optimisation/simplification of these meeting processes. Coordinate and communicate with Demand/Sales/Marketing (Pre-S&OP / Supply Review meetings) for their promotional plans with supply planning & review promotional plans with Sales/Marketing to avoid low stock and overstock. KPI and reporting - Prepare monthly reporting (Budget vs actual sales) and depletion/shipping forecast to Brand companies (net requirement in CONNECT). Collaborate with Brand companies to drive KPIs improvement (e.g adherence to plan) Prepare monthly slow moving / obsolete stock summary and action plan to run down the stock. Monitor SKU levels and recommend SKU rationalisation initiatives in the future. Digital Transformation Project and Change Management - Work with Supply Planning Assistant Manager on developing and managing projects in driving business process improvement and operations excellence such as KPI reporting, demand review / Pre S&OP meeting process improvement/simplification, new replenishment tool implementation, etc Improve or implement supply chain system related process. Trouble shoot system failure through root cause analysis and continuously seek for improvement opportunities (system include Anaplan, JDE, Connect, Product cloud, etc) Propose and improve the supply planning process (including the product phase in / phase out process) across all channels by working closely with relevant stakeholders.

Qualifications

Degree in Supply Chain Management or Logistics Knowledge and Skills Requirements: 3+ years of relevant experience in Supply Chain management – supply planning and inventory management in a retail environment Must be organised, analytical, self-motivated and able to work independently in a dynamic environment Strong organisation skills and manages complexity A keen eye for detail and excellent analytical skills. Strong ability to identify root cause and solve problems. Good interpersonal skills, communications skill with the ability to influence across functionally Critical (logical) Thinking IT proficiency required – advanced Excel + techsavvy Good understanding of Stock management / MRP systems Experience with JDE will be advantage.
