Job summary

A manufacturing company in Singapore is seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist to develop and implement comprehensive quality assurance programmes. The role involves conducting supplier audits and analysing quality data to ensure compliance with stringent quality standards. An ideal candidate will have a diploma or degree in Engineering or Quality Management and 3 to 5 years of relevant experience, along with solid skills in problem-solving and data analysis.

Job description

Job Responsibilities :

  1. Developing and implementing comprehensive supplier quality assurance programmes to ensure incoming materials and components meet stringent quality standards
  2. Conducting on-site supplier audits and inspections to identify and resolve quality issues
  3. Analysing quality data, trends and metrics to drive continuous improvement initiatives
  4. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve quality-related problems
  5. Providing technical guidance and support to suppliers to help them enhance their quality management systems
  6. Ensuring compliance with all relevant quality standards, regulations and customer requirements
  7. Documenting quality processes and procedures and maintaining accurate quality records

Job Requirements :

  1. Minimum Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management or related field
  2. Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in a quality assurance role, preferably in the manufacturing industry
  3. Strong technical knowledge and understanding of quality management systems, statistical process control and quality improvement methodologies
  4. Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking and decision-making skills
  5. Proficient in data analysis and reporting, with the ability to interpret quality metrics and identify areas for improvement
  6. Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and influence stakeholders at all levels
  7. Familiarity with relevant quality standards and regulations, such as ISO 9001 and IATF 16949
