Job summary

Applied Materials South East Asia Pte Ltd. is seeking a Supplier Engineer to develop assigned suppliers and interface with internal AMAT stakeholders and end users as part of a problem-solving team.

You will remediate product or process failures impacting manufacturing locations or customers. The role requires deep knowledge of semiconductor gas panel assembly, QMS auditing, and strong problem-solving capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher degree in an Engineering discipline.
• Knowledge of semiconductor gas panel assembly and gas delivery systems.
• Experience with Quality Management Systems (QMS) and auditing (internal & external).
• Familiar with FMEA and basic statistical methods.
• Strong understanding of good manufacturing practices, lean principles, and process controls for gas panel assembly.
• Experience in cleanroom manufacturing environments and contamination control.
• 5+ years in manufacturing Semiconductor Capital Equipment, preferably gas panel assembly or gas delivery systems.
• Strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills with suppliers and internal teams.
• Knowledge of gas/liquid delivery systems and OEM components (MFCs, valves, regulators).
• Experience with gas line/weldment manufacturing and sealing components (O-rings, C-seals) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead supplier audits and evaluate performance, capability, and compliance.
• Drive continuous improvement at supplier sites focusing on gas panel assembly processes.
• Lead quality problem resolution including containment and corrective actions.
• Identify trends and drive systemic process improvements across suppliers.
• Use enterprise QMS to document and track quality issues and corrective actions.
• Act as the primary quality interface between suppliers and internal teams.
