Job summary

Equiptest Engineering Pte. Ltd. in Singapore seeks an experienced Manufacturing and Supply Chain Engineer to lead supplier qualification, onboarding for new product introductions, and ensure timely production release readiness.

You will drive FAI activities, supplier localization from US/Europe to Asia, and conduct production readiness assessments. Lean/Six Sigma practices and strong cross-functional collaboration are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
• 5-8 years in supply chain, operations or manufacturing engineering.
• Experience with NPI programs, supplier qualification, process validation, and ramp-up.
• Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma knowledge, Green Belt preferred.
• Ability to read technical drawings and documentation (GD&T).
• Strong project management, problem-solving and stakeholder management; PMP/PRINCE2 a plus.
• Willingness to travel regularly to supplier sites in Asia.

Responsibilities

• Lead supplier qualification and onboarding for NPI programs.
• Coordinate and drive First Article Inspection (FAI) activities prior to production release.
• Lead onboarding from qualification through production release and handover to sustaining teams.
• Lead supplier localization by transferring parts and processes from US/Europe to Asia suppliers.
• Conduct supplier production readiness assessments to ensure product launches and ramp-up.
• Provide manufacturing engineering support to suppliers ensuring processes meet engineering requirements and driving improvements.
• Drive supplier capability and quality improvements via assessments and Lean/Six Sigma initiatives.
• Identify and mitigate supplier process and capability risks with cross-functional teams.
