We're seeking an experienced Senior Engineer to drive strategic sourcing, supplier development and cost optimisation initiatives across regional and global supply chains.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic sourcing and commodity strategies, including supplier negotiations, commercial agreements and cost reduction initiatives.
- Manage supplier performance across cost, quality and delivery, addressing shortages, capacity constraints and supply continuity risks.
- Drive Value Analysis / Value Engineering (VA/VE) and other cost optimisation projects in collaboration with Engineering, R&D, Operations and Quality teams.
- Act as the technical interface between suppliers and internal engineering teams on alternate sourcing, materials, processes and quality issue resolution.
- Support supplier development, NPI and special projects, ensuring timely implementation and achievement of project objectives.
- Monitor supplier risks including capacity, financial stability, compliance and product end-of-life, and develop appropriate mitigation plans.
- Conduct supplier business and project reviews, track performance and drive continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Min. Bachelor's Degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Supply Chain, Procurement or a related discipline .
- Min. 5+ years of experience in sourcing, procurement, supplier management or engineering, preferably within manufacturing, electronics or industrial environments.
- Strong experience in cost analysis, supplier negotiation, supplier quality and ERP systems such as SAP .
- Regional/APAC sourcing experience is preferred.
- Strong analytical, communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
- Comfortable working with global, cross-functional teams and suppliers across different cultures and time zones.
- Willing to travel approximately 5-10% .
- Preferred: Good understanding of commodity market trends, supplier landscape, supply and demand dynamics, pricing strategies, benchmarking and supplier development.
