Job summary

AKR CONSTRUCTION & ENGRG PTE. LTD. is seeking a Supervisor and General Foreman (Mechanical & Electrical) in Singapore. The role oversees daily M&E works on construction sites, coordinating manpower, equipment and materials to ensure smooth operations and on-time delivery.

You will monitor installation, testing and commissioning of M&E systems, supervise workers and subcontractors, and coordinate with project teams to resolve technical issues while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical engineering or related field.
• Experience supervising M&E construction on sites.
• Strong leadership and teamwork abilities.
• Knowledge of M&E installation, drawings, and site coordination.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily M&E works at construction sites.
• Plan manpower, equipment and materials to keep site operations smooth.
• Monitor installation, testing and commissioning of M&E systems.
• Supervise workers and subcontractors to meet safety and schedule goals.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers and consultants to resolve issues.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality and project requirements.
• Inspect works, identify defects and arrange corrective actions.
• Monitor progress, materials use and manpower productivity.
• Maintain daily site reports and provide progress updates to management.
• Ensure proper installation of electrical, plumbing, ACMV, fire protection and other M&E systems.

Job Title: Supervisor and General Foreman (Mechanical & Electrical)
Salary Range: SGD 3,600 – SGD 4,200 per month

Education Requirement: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

Roles and Responsibilities

1. Supervise and coordinate daily Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) works at construction sites.
2. Plan and allocate manpower, equipment, and materials to ensure smooth site operations.
3. Monitor installation, testing, and commissioning of M&E systems in accordance with project drawings and specifications.
4. Supervise workers and subcontractors to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
5. Coordinate with project managers, engineers, consultants, and other site teams to resolve technical and operational issues.
6. Ensure compliance with workplace safety regulations, quality standards, and project requirements.
7. Inspect completed works, identify defects, and arrange corrective actions where necessary.
8. Monitor project progress, material usage, and manpower productivity.
9. Maintain daily site reports and provide regular progress updates to management.
10. Ensure proper installation and coordination of electrical, plumbing, ACMV, fire protection, and other relevant M&E systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Relevant experience in M&E construction supervision or general foreman duties.
• Good knowledge of M&E installation, construction drawings, and site coordination.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage site workers and coordinate multiple work activities.
• Knowledge of workplace safety requirements and quality control procedures.
• Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines.
