Job summary

Singtel is seeking an engineer for its 24/7 Submarine Cable System NOC to ensure end-to-end operations, including fault handling, change management and restoration across international systems. The role requires independent decision-making within strict governance and regulatory frameworks.

You will perform technical analysis on complex submarine cable alarms, operate NMS with write access, and coordinate restoration efforts with consortium members, landing stations, and engineering teams to

Qualifications

• Diploma or higher in Telecommunications/Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience in incident management within mission-critical operations.
• Experience operating Network Management Systems (NMS) with write privileges is desirable.
• Experience supporting international submarine cable systems or similar carrier-grade infrastructure is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Part of a 24/7 Submarine Cable System NOC, responsible for end-to-end operations including fault and change management, order fulfilment, network surveillance and regulatory reporting.
• Execute technical operations to ensure availability, reliability and restoration of international submarine cable systems.
• Coordinate restoration activities with consortium members, Cable Landing Stations, vendors and internal teams.
• Prepare and submit mandatory regulatory notifications within prescribed timelines during outages.
• Maintain incident records and escalation in accordance with procedures.
