Job summary

The Ministry of Education (MOE) Singapore is seeking a dedicated Student Welfare Officer to provide guidance and social-emotional support to students with additional needs (SwANs). You will collaborate with families and community partners to address barriers to learning and strengthen the safety net for these students.

Responsibilities

• Provide reintegration support for students with long-term absenteeism or statutory concerns.
• Work with the school's student support team on early identification and case management.
• Mentor SwANs and empower them to make informed life choices.
• Assess and plan interventions for underlying issues via outreach, home visits, calls, or case conferences.
• Recommend services by community partners to support after-school activities.
• Collaborate with school personnel and partners for coordinated student support.
• Escalate cases to statutory agencies when student safety is at risk.
• Provide reintegration support including MSF programmes and releases from statutory institutions.
