Run the centre and organise daily activities.
Build positive relationships with students.
Maintain a safe and welcoming environment.
Monitor and record student attendance/movement and belongings.
Plan and conduct twice-weekly programmes for groups of around 20 students.
Develop practical, engaging activities based on students' interests and abilities.
Track participation and progress.
Activities may include sports, crafts, music, digital media, photography/video editing, board games and strategy games.
Assist teachers in planning and conducting weekly Life Skills lessons.
Prepare materials and equipment.
Adapt activities to students' learning and behavioural needs.
Supervise students during practical and outdoor activities while ensuring safety.
Build trusting relationships with students requiring additional support.
Conduct regular one-to-one or small-group check-ins.
Set simple developmental goals and monitor progress.
Document students' wellbeing and development.
Escalate concerns to teachers, Year Heads or the Student Support Team when necessary.
Diploma
3 years of experience working with youth, preferably in an educational or social service setting.
