Job summary

Milchel PTE. LTD. in Singapore seeks a Student Coordinator to guide international students in academic success and character development. This role acts as a mentor, supervisor, and bridge between students, parents, and schools, promoting a structured, nurturing residential environment.

You will monitor academic progress, support study routines and life-skills development, and provide regular progress reports to overseas guardians, with flexibility to work evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Education, Psychology, Social Work or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience with teenagers in boarding, teaching, or counseling settings.

Responsibilities

• Track students' assignments, test schedules, and report cards to monitor academic progress.
• Oversee daily evening study hours to maintain student focus and discipline.
• Arrange targeted tutoring or remedial support for students needing academic assistance.
• Assist students in setting realistic weekly and monthly academic goals to enhance performance.
• Enforce daily routines, curfew rules, and personal hygiene standards to instill discipline.
• Conduct regular one-on-one mentoring sessions to support behavioral and emotional growth.
• Guide students in developing time management, budgeting, and room cleanliness skills to foster responsibility.
• Mediate peer conflicts calmly using restorative justice principles to maintain a harmonious environment.
• Conduct activities to guide students in their Character growth
• Guide children in activities planning to learn life skills.
• Provide regular, detailed progress reports to overseas parents to keep them informed.
• Attend parent-teacher meetings and maintain communication with school counselors to coordinate student support.
• Document daily behavioral observations, medical issues, and academic milestones accurately for record-keeping

Responsibilities

Academic Guidance

• Track students' school assignments, test schedules, and report cards regularly to monitor academic progress
• Oversee daily mandatory evening study hours to maintain student focus and discipline
• Arrange targetted tutoring or remedial support for students needing academic assistance
• Assist students in setting realistic weekly and monthly academic goals to enhance performance

Character & Life Skills Development

Required competencies and certifications

• Meticulous attention to detail and ability to work independently to ensure accuracy and reliability
• Strong emotional intelligence, active listening, and conflict resolution skills
• Willingness and ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, for residential duty

Preferred competencies and qualifications

Ability to communicate clearly in English and Chinese to support workplace interactions
