Job summary

Seatrium Limited in Singapore seeks a Lead Engineer to coordinate interdisciplinary and subcontracting activities, prepare information for certifying authorities and production, and review design deliverables for contract compliance. The role involves leading design calculations, representing the Engineering department in client meetings and equipment testing, and ensuring safety and HSEQ compliance.

Qualifications

• B.Eng in Civil Engineering/Marine Engineering/Naval Architecture.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate interdisciplinary and subcontracting activities.
• Prepare engineering information for certifying authorities and production departments.
• Review supplier/sub-contractor design deliverables and perform design calculations.
• Ensure all design deliverables comply with contract specifications.
• Represent Engineering in client meetings and in testing of equipment.
• Act as Discipline Lead Engineer (DLE) and provide technical support to the project team.
• Ensure safety per Occupational Safety and Health and Environmental regulations and follow HSEQ procedures.
• Contribute to Safe Work, Environmental control and Emergency procedures.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Coordinate interdisciplinary and subcontracting activities. Prepare all engineering information required by the certifying authorities and the production departments to execute activities within the required time period. Review supplier / sub-contractors design deliverables. Perform and check engineering design and design calculations. Ensure that all design deliverables comply fully with the contract specification. Represent the engineering department in technical meetings / discussion with clients. Represent the engineering department in the testing of engineering equipment carried out. Perform the role of discipline Lead Engineer (DLE) as assigned, and provides technical support as required to the engineers reporting to the DLE for the particular project. Ensure the safety of personnel through compliance with Occupational Safety and Health and Environmental Regulations. Ensure that Health, Safety & Environmental operating procedures are followed and counsel employees about compliance as necessary. Participate in the preparation of Safe work, Environmental control and Emergency procedures. Ensure that all Health, Safety, Environmental & Quality (HSEQ) plans are followed. Any other associated tasks and responsibilities assigned from time to time.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

B.Eng (Civil Engineering/ Marine Engineering/ Naval Architecture) Pleasant personality, tactful, resourceful, dynamic with good leadership qualities, customer oriented, and good highly motivated team player.
