Job summary

JML ENGINEERING PTE. LTD. is seeking a skilled Structural Steel Erector to join our construction team in Singapore. You will be responsible for the safe installation, positioning, alignment, and securing of structural steel components on site.

Responsibilities include reading drawings, erecting columns, beams, frames and other members, bolting and rigging, coordinating with cranes, using hand and power tools, and maintaining safety with PPE and heights work.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Structural Steel Erector or in structural steel construction.
• Ability to read and interpret structural drawings and specifications.
• Knowledge of steel erection, fitting, bolting, and basic rigging practices.
• Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely.
• Physically fit and able to work at heights and in outdoor construction environments.
• Good understanding of workplace health and safety requirements.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand structural steel drawings, plans, and specifications.
• Erect and install structural steel columns, beams, frames, trusses, and other steel components.
• Position, align, level, and secure steel structures according to drawings and project requirements.
• Perform bolting, fitting, and connecting of structural steel components.
• Work with cranes, rigging teams, lifting equipment, and other construction personnel.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and relevant equipment safely and correctly.
• Assist with lifting, guiding, and positioning steel members during erection.
• Check measurements, alignment, and levels to ensure accurate installation.
• Work safely at heights and follow all site safety procedures.
• Wear and maintain required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Report any safety hazards, damaged materials, or installation issues to the supervisor.
• Perform other structural steel erection duties as assigned. Able to work overtime even night job.
