Job summary

A leading contractor specializing in building and structural steel works seeks an experienced Steel Structure Construction / Site Manager to oversee site execution. You will ensure steel structure works are delivered safely, efficiently and per project requirements on ongoing large-scale projects in Singapore.

Qualifications

• Diploma / Degree in Civil, Structural Engineering, Construction Management or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in steel structure construction and erection.
• Strong knowledge of steel fabrication, erection, lifting and installation processes.
• Experience coordinating subcontractors, consultants, and site teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage steel structure construction works from mobilisation through completion.
• Plan and coordinate site activities, manpower, materials, equipment and subcontractors.
• Supervise steel erection, installation, alignment and connections.
• Ensure construction follows approved drawings, specs and method statements.
• Coordinate with engineers, main contractors, and suppliers to resolve issues.
• Review drawings and identify discrepancies.
• Monitor progress, quality and schedules to ensure timely delivery.
• Conduct site inspections and rectify defects.
• Coordinate lifting, erection and sequencing activities.
• Maintain site documentation and progress records.
