Job summary

Align Recruitment Pte Ltd is seeking a Project Engineer to plan, coordinate, monitor, and execute projects for offshore and marine industries in Singapore. Responsibilities include developing drawings, methods, calculations, risk assessments, and coordinating with procurement, QA/QC, and production teams.

The role requires a Diploma in engineering in oil & gas, offshore & marine, with at least 2 years in steel fabrication, and strong communication across levels.

Qualifications

• Diploma in engineering in oil & gas, offshore & marine industry.
• Minimum 2 years of steel fabrication experience.
• Knowledge of project management process.
• Proficient in 2D AutoCAD; MS Office and MS Project.
• Knowledge of steel fabrication processes and EN standards.
• Good interpersonal skills to communicate with multiple levels.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, monitor and execute projects per specs, schedules, and quality standards.
• Develop construction drawings, methods, calculations, and risk assessments.
• Prepare MTO and coordinate vendor selection with procurement.
• Plan resources and coordinate with QA/QC, production, and inspectors.
• Ensure HSE compliance and report progress to stakeholders.
• Handle site queries and related tasks.

Job description

The Project Engineer is responsible for planning, coordinating, monitoring, and executing projects to ensure completion in accordance with project specifications, engineering requirements, quality standards, safety regulations, and agreed schedules. The role involves engineering documentation, material planning, fabrication coordination, resource management, and communication with internal departments, clients, vendors, and third-party inspectors.

• Develop construction drawing, construction methodology and procedures engineering calculation and risk assessment for site execution.
• Develop MTO (Material Take Off) list and coordinate with procurement team for the vendor selection.
• Plan and arrange required resources for project execution
• Work closely with QA/QC team for inspection plan
• Work closely with production for fabrication process and project progress.
• Coordinate with QA/QC team and third-party inspector
• Ensure daily work activities incorporates with HSE standard
• Report project progress to all stakeholders.
• Manage project site query.
• Performs any other associated tasks and responsibilities assigned from time to time.

Requirements:

• Diploma in engineering on oil gas, offshore & marine industry.
• Preferable with min. 2 years of steel fabrication experience
• Knowledges in project management process
• Knowledges in 2D AutoCAD (3D modeling will be plus point), MS Office and MS Project.
• Knowledges in steel fabrication process and procedures, in fabrication standard and classification rules.
• Knowledges in engineering calculation.
• Knowledges in steel materials properties (grade, thickness, EN Standard)
• Good interpersonal skills to communicate to people of different levels
