Job description

Senior Electrical Engineer - High-rise & Complex Buildings | Singapore

What if every building you powered was designed to perform smarter from day one? As a Senior Electrical Engineer in our High-Rise & Complex Buildings team in Singapore, you’ll help define how some of the region’s most complex buildings are powered, connected and experienced. From medium and low voltage distribution to ELV systems, security and vertical transportation, you’ll take ownership of designs that are critical to performance, resilience and user experience.

The work is technically demanding and highly collaborative. You’ll be given the space to challenge conventional approaches, apply advanced tools and methodologies, and grow your expertise on projects that set benchmarks across Asia. If you’re looking to work on complex, high-impact developments alongside people who are passionate about engineering excellence, this is where you can make your mark.

High-rise buildings, when done well, shape the future of cities—making them more sustainable, more liveable, and more resilient. That’s the kind of impact you’ll be part of here.

With over 300 tall building projects delivered globally, our High-rise & Complex Buildings team brings together structural, MEP, façade, digital and sustainability expertise from concept through to completion. We work at the critical intersections—where structure meets services—because that’s where the biggest opportunities to create value, efficiency and performance are found.

Our work is data-driven, computationally advanced, and informed by decades of global experience. But what truly sets us apart is the way we challenge conventions, collaborate across disciplines, and design with clear intent—for the people who use these buildings and the cities they shape.

If you’re looking for work that stretches your thinking, exposes you to complex, high-impact projects, and puts you alongside people who are serious about raising the bar, this is where you come to do it.

The role

As a Senior Electrical Engineer within our High-Rise & Complex Buildings team, You’ll be involved across the full project lifecycle—from early concept through detailed design to site delivery—working closely with structural, mechanical, façade, digital and sustainability specialists to achieve fully integrated outcomes. This is where coordination isn’t an afterthought, but a core part of how we deliver better buildings.

Beyond design, you’ll be involved in tendering and contract administration, while collaborating closely with mechanical, structural, façade, digital and sustainability specialists to deliver fully coordinated, high-quality outcomes. This is an environment where integration is expected.

This role suits someone who wants real ownership—seeing ideas move from the drawing board through to commissioning—and who values the opportunity to influence how buildings operate in the real world. If you’re motivated by technical challenge, cross-disciplinary collaboration and delivering work that leaves a lasting mark on the built environment, this is where you can do exactly that.

How You Will Contribute
Electrical systems design
  • Design and specify electrical systems for buildings, including 22kV medium voltage systems, 400V LV systems, emergency power supply, single line diagrams, lighting and small power, earthing and lightning protection, telecommunications infrastructure, ELV systems, security systems and vertical transportation systems
  • Prepare design-related documents including design calculations, design briefs, technical drawings and authority submissions
  • Collaborate with engineers across other disciplines, clients’ project teams and external consultants to coordinate and detail project design requirements
  • Undertake other duties as assigned from time to time
Tender and contract management
  • Manage the tender process, including cost estimations, tender documents, technical specifications, tender evaluation and tender reporting
  • Manage contract administration, including construction monitoring and site supervision
Site and coordination
  • Attend technical meetings, review contractor’s technical submissions, witness key testing / commissioning activities.
Qualifications
  • A bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
  • At least 5 years of building design experience in a multidisciplinary or M&E consultancy firm
  • Familiarity with Singapore building legislation, Singapore Standards (SS), regulations, Codes of Practice, and various agency requirements and processes (e.g. BCA, URA, SCDF, NEA, etc)
  • A positive work attitude and a genuine willingness to learn
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Experience in high-rise and complex buildings is preferred
  • Candidates with more extensive experience and deeper technical knowledge will be considered for more senior positions
