Job summary

JOB LIONS PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking a Junior to Senior Engineer to contribute to civil and structural design, project coordination, and client liaison with 1 to 10 years of experience.

You will prepare calculations, review drawings, develop design schemes with the Qualified Person, liaise with authorities and contractors, and train junior engineers to build team capability.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering is required and preferably PE Board recognized.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in civil and structural design work.
• Proficient in latest design codes and authority requirements.

Responsibilities

Job Summary

Join various civil and structural consulting firms as a Junior to Senior Engineer, contributing to design, project coordination, and client liaison with 1 to 10 years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Execute civil and structural design by preparing calculations and reviewing structural drawings to meet customer specifications, applicable codes, and standards
• Produce tender specifications and design requirements to support tender contract processes
• Undertake detailed design of buildings and civil infrastructure to ensure compliance and constructability
• Collaborate with Qualified Person (QP) to develop and refine civil and structural design schemes
• Participate in project and technical meetings with authorities, developers, and contractors to align project objectives
• Contribute to project planning, implementation, and monitor progress to ensure timely delivery
• Coordinate project submissions to local authorities and manage liaison during construction stages
• Communicate technical matters effectively with clients, consultants, and authorities to resolve issues
• Train and support junior engineers to build team capability and knowledge transfer

Required competencies and certifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering, preferably recognized by the PE Board
• Minimum 1 year of experience in civil and structural engineering design work
• Proficient in latest design codes and authority requirements, including codes of practice and directives
• Competent in design software such as ETABS, STAAD, PROKON, and SAFE
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and support the Qualified Person
