Job summary

ECAS CONSULTANTS PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking a civil/structural design engineer with hands-on experience to execute design tasks, prepare calculations, and review drawings in line with customer specs and codes.

You will collaborate with the Qualified Person and Senior Engineer on design schemes, submissions to authorities, and project progress, with emphasis on quality and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering recognised by PE Board.
• 3 years' local experience in engineering design with consultant firm.
• Familiar with latest design codes and authority requirements.
• Able to work independently and maintain quality of work and timeline.

Responsibilities

• Execute civil and structural design including calculations and drawings.
• Assist in producing tender specifications and design requirements.
• Undertake detailed design of buildings and civil infrastructure.
• Coordinate with Qualified Person/Senior Engineer on design schemes, authority submissions, and project progress.

Job Description :

• Responsible for the execution of civil and structural design involving the preparation of calculations and review of structural design drawings in accordance to customers' specifications, applicable codes, standards and other generally accepted practices.
• Assist in producing tender specifications and design requirements for calling of tender contracts.
• Undertake detailed design of buildings and civil infrastructures.
• Work with Qualified Person (QP) and/or Senior Engineer to develop design scheme for civil and structural works, submissions to authorities, project planning, implementation and monitoring progress of project.
• Project coordination and liaison with stake holders on technical matters during construction stage.

Requirements :

• Candidates must possess minimum a Bachelor Engineering (Civil) degree recognised by PE Board.
• Engineers with minimum 3 years' relevant local experience in engineering design work with consultant firm.
• Conversant with latest design codes and authority requirements (Codes of practice directives, etc.).
• With good attitude towards quality of work and timeline.
• Able to work independently to support the Qualified Person and/or Senior Engineer.
