Job summary

AECOM is a global infrastructure leader seeking a Civil/Structural Engineer to develop and review structures for buildings and infrastructure. You will perform analyses, prepare drawings and specifications, and inspect construction to ensure compliance with Singapore Building Code and project requirements.

The role requires 3–5 years of structural engineering experience, proficiency in STAAD Pro, SAP2000, AutoCAD, and Revit, and strong communication skills. PE preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in structural engineering and construction.
• PE registration or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and review structural designs, calculations, drawings, and specifications.
• Conduct comprehensive structural analysis using industry-standard software.
• Perform site inspections and monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with designs and project requirements.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, consultants, and other engineering disciplines to resolve technical issues.
• Review and approve method statements, submittals, and shop drawings.
• Ensure all structural works comply with Singapore Building Code and project requirements.
• Prepare detailed technical reports and documentation for project stakeholders.
• Provide technical guidance to junior team members.
• Identify and resolve design and construction challenges in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with the team to implement innovative solutions.

Job Description

• Develop and review structural designs, calculations, drawings, and technical specifications for buildings and infrastructure projects
• Conduct comprehensive structural analysis using industry-standard software and methodologies
• Perform site inspections and monitor structural construction activities to ensure compliance with approved designs and project specifications
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, consultants, and other engineering disciplines to resolve technical issues and optimize project outcomes
• Review and approve method statements, material submittals, shop drawings, and other technical submissions
• Ensure all structural works comply with Singapore Building Code, relevant standards, and project requirements
• Prepare detailed technical reports, recommendations, and documentation for project management and stakeholders
• Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineering team members
• Identify, analyze, and resolve structural design and construction challenges in a timely and efficient manner
• Collaborate with the team to implement innovative solutions and continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related engineering discipline
• Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in structural engineering, design, and construction projects
• Strong proficiency in structural analysis and design software (STAAD Pro, SAP2000, or equivalent)
• Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, or similar platforms)
• Solid knowledge of structural codes, standards, specifications, and construction best practices
• Experience with site supervision, inspection, and quality control on construction projects
• Excellent communication, coordination, and interpersonal skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a detail-oriented approach
• Ability to work effectively in collaborative, multidisciplinary team environments
• Professional Engineering (PE) registration or equivalent professional certification (preferred)
• Experience with large-scale construction or infrastructure projects (preferred)
• Familiarity with Singapore Building Code and local regulatory requirements (preferred)
• Previous experience with engineering consultancy firms (preferred)
