Job summary

AECOM is seeking a structural engineer in Singapore to develop and review designs for buildings and infrastructure, ensuring code compliance and project deliverables. You will perform analyses, supervise sites, and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams on complex projects.

With 3–5 years of experience, you will contribute to technical reports, mentor junior staff, and help drive innovative solutions across large-scale infrastructure initiatives in a dynamic, global firm.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering required.
• 3-5 years of relevant structural engineering experience.
• Proficient in structural analysis and design software (STAAD Pro, SAP2000) and CAD tools (AutoCAD, Revit).
• Familiarity with Singapore Building Code and local regulations preferred.
• Professional Engineering (PE) registration or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and review structural designs, calculations, drawings, and specs for buildings and infrastructure.
• Conduct structural analysis using standard software and methodologies.
• Perform site inspections and monitor construction for compliance.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, consultants, and other disciplines.
• Review and approve method statements, submittals, shop drawings, and submissions.
• Prepare technical reports and documentation for management and stakeholders.

Job Description

• Develop and review structural designs, calculations, drawings, and technical specifications for buildings and infrastructure projects
• Conduct comprehensive structural analysis using industry-standard software and methodologies
• Perform site inspections and monitor structural construction activities to ensure compliance with approved designs and project specifications
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, consultants, and other engineering disciplines to resolve technical issues and optimize project outcomes
• Review and approve method statements, material submittals, shop drawings, and other technical submissions
• Ensure all structural works comply with Singapore Building Code, relevant standards, and project requirements
• Prepare detailed technical reports, recommendations, and documentation for project management and stakeholders
• Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineering team members
• Identify, analyze, and resolve structural design and construction challenges in a timely and efficient manner
• Collaborate with the team to implement innovative solutions and continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related engineering discipline
• Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in structural engineering, design, and construction projects
• Strong proficiency in structural analysis and design software (STAAD Pro, SAP2000, or equivalent)
• Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, or similar platforms)
• Solid knowledge of structural codes, standards, specifications, and construction best practices
• Experience with site supervision, inspection, and quality control on construction projectsExcellent communication, coordination, and interpersonal skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a detail-oriented approach
• Ability to work effectively in collaborative, multidisciplinary team environments
• Professional Engineering (PE) registration or equivalent professional certification (preferred)
• Experience with large-scale construction or infrastructure projects (preferred)
• Familiarity with Singapore Building Code and local regulatory requirements (preferred)
• Previous experience with engineering consultancy firms (preferred)
