Job summary

Yamato Transport Singapore is seeking a Solution Maker to bridge client needs with operational excellence in International Express between Singapore and Japan, moving beyond traditional sales. You will design tailored solutions, own end-to-end projects, resolve bottlenecks, and oversee P&L for accounts under the Head of Department.

Qualifications

• Language proficiency: Business-level Japanese (JLPT N2 or above).
• Digital literacy with data handling and Power Query.
• Problem-solving mindset for complex logistics challenges.
• Strong communication and negotiation with high-profile clients.
• Experience with e-commerce logistics or APIs is a plus, willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Solution Design: Propose tailored International Express solutions to E-commerce businesses and Japanese corporate clients.
• End-to-End Case Management: Take full ownership of new projects, from initial consultation to ensuring smooth operational flow.
• Operational Problem Solving: Identify and resolve logistical challenges specific to each project to maintain high service standards.
• Stakeholder Liaison: Communicate and negotiate directly with Yamato Japan to align on shipping quality, regulations, and operational schemes (requires Japanese proficiency).
• Digital Integration: Leverage digital tools, AI, and API integrations to optimize client shipping processes and internal efficiency.
• Business Growth: Focus on securing recurring shipments (subscription-based business model) and contribute to the department's profitability.
