Job summary

LIAN GAY CONSTRUCTION PTE LTD in Singapore is seeking a qualified Quantity Surveyor to bid, cost, and procure for metal works and structural steel projects. You will work closely with the design and procurement teams to prepare quotes based on sketches and drawings.

The role requires a Civil Engineering or QS degree and 2–3 years of relevant experience, with strong communication and negotiation skills and client-facing abilities. This position is based on-site in Singapore.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying or an equivalent field.
• 2–3 years' experience in metal works and structural steel projects.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Strong time management and analytical abilities.
• Good client-facing communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Bid projects and prepare cost estimates based on rough sketches, drawings and other engineering data.
• Calculate costs and quotes from main contractors or clients.
• Obtain construction drawings approved by the main contractor to calculate materials.
• Purchase all materials and hardware.
• Support project management and coordination.
• Process monthly workload claims with main contractor and VO.
• Verify subcontractor workload claims.
• Assist in issuing delivery orders and other tasks as needed.
