Job summary

TEX-STAR ENGINEERING PTE LTD in Singapore is seeking a Purchasing professional to procure goods, materials and services for manufacturing operations, balancing price, quality and delivery to ensure continuity of supply. You will interface with suppliers and internal teams, negotiate contracts, monitor market trends and drive cost reductions while maintaining compliant procurement practices.

The role requires strong Excel skills and proven supplier management experience to support production

Qualifications

Experience in purchasing in a manufacturing environment.
Strong negotiation and cost breakdown knowledge.
Experience working with suppliers.
Ability to add value and reduce costs.
Understanding of automotive processes (advantage).
Advanced Excel skills.

Responsibilities

Purchase goods, materials, components or services to target cost/quality/delivery.
Support purchasing function and other departments; communicate supply problems.
Interface between suppliers and departments on purchasing processes and projects.
Monitor market trends and supplier strategies.
Prepare reports and updates as required.
Negotiate contracts and terms; seek cost savings via best practices.
Prepare and raise purchase orders and schedules.
Maintain supplier relationships and communications.
Ensure compliance with guidelines during negotiations and awards.
Research new components and suppliers.
Resolve price, quality, delivery or invoice issues with suppliers.
