Job summary

Recruit Express Pte Ltd is seeking a hands-on Procurement Specialist to manage purchasing, supplier relations, and inventory control at the Changi site. You will process POs, negotiate terms, and coordinate with production and QA to ensure timely delivery and quality.

The role emphasizes data-driven decision making, process improvements, and cross-functional collaboration to support localization, risk mitigation, and regional plan/buy activities. 8am–5pm onsite.

Qualifications

• Hands-on procurement/buying experience required, not only supplier management.
• Strong preference for manufacturing and raw-material procurement.
• Vendor/supplier management and building strong supplier partnerships.
• Equipment, MRO, or services procurement experience is less relevant.

Responsibilities

• Manage quotations, prepare and process purchase orders and requisitions.
• Monitor inventory levels to ensure timely replenishment and avoid stockouts.
• Maintain records of purchases, pricing and supplier performance.
• Maintain PO health, including aging, past due, and open POs, to ensure compliance with approval policies.
• Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to negotiate favorable terms and cost savings.
• Coordinate localization, direct sourcing, and BCP initiatives to mitigate supply risk.
• Data analysis and reporting to support decision-making and opportunities for digitalization.
• Collaborate with production, finance, engineering and quality teams.
