Qualifications

• Proven work experience as a Public Relations Officer or in a similar role.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building abilities.
• Knowledge of public relations principles, strategies, and best practices.
• Experience in media relations, including pitching stories and handling media inquiries.
• Ability to effectively manage crisis situations and handle sensitive information.
• Familiarity with social media platforms and digital marketing trends.
• Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
• Proficiency in relevant software and tools.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Communication Strategy: Develop and implement comprehensive communication strategies that align with the organization's goals and objectives.
• Media Relations: Cultivate and maintain relationships with media representatives, journalists, and influencers.
• Content Creation: Write, edit, and distribute content for press releases, newsletters, articles, blog posts, and social media.
• Crisis Management: Act as the organization’s spokesperson during times of crisis and reputation management issues.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with clients, partners, government agencies, and community organizations.
• Event Planning and Management: Coordinate and oversee press conferences, product launches, corporate events, and other PR initiatives.
• Monitoring and Reporting: Monitor media coverage and prepare reports on media activity, campaign effectiveness, and KPIs.
