Job summary

DesignSingapore Council Pte. Ltd. is seeking a Manager/Senior Manager for the Outreach & Engagement division to lead programmes celebrating Singapore’s top design talents and grow community involvement.

You will help develop design-led showcases and expand outreach locally and internationally, including the Singapore Design Biennale and President*s Design Award. The role requires strong collaboration, event management and communication skills, with a track record in delivering complex projects

Qualifications

• Degree holder with 2 to 8 years of relevant experience in programming, outreach, events management, marketing or project management.
• Effective collaborator and negotiator with ability to influence outcomes.
• Team player able to multitask and meet tight deadlines.
• Organised, detail-oriented, hands-on and self-driven with a track record of delivering projects.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Experience in procurement, contract management and end-to-end project delivery.
• Creative with copywriting, copyediting and proofreading skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support conceptualisation, planning, development and implementation of programmes by the Outreach & Engagement division, as part of the team that manages: Singapore Design Biennale, Design Districts, thought leadership forum, and B2B and B2C initiatives to cultivate adoption of Singapore design; Local and international outreach programmes and initiatives to benchmark Singapore’s design excellence at home and abroad.
• Plan, develop and implement strategies for Singapore Design Biennale and related signature programmes, including engaging partners and audiences to showcase design impact.
• Collaborate with diverse local and international partners to build design awareness and celebrate Singapore design on the world stage.
• Contribute as a team player in creative thinking, ideation, and cross-division projects within Dsg.
