Job summary

POET Technologies Inc. in Singapore is seeking a dedicated supply chain professional to coordinate purchasing, procurement, logistics, and inventory control. You will build supplier relationships, manage POs, forecast demand, and ensure alignment with production planning and quality standards.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize processes, track shipments, and maintain accurate records while adhering to company policies and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience in purchasing, procurement, logistics or supply chain operations.
• Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and Excel.
• Strong knowledge of procurement processes, shipping regulations, inventory management and warehouse operations.
• Excellent negotiation, communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Create, process, and manage purchase orders for raw materials, components, and services.
• Identify, evaluate, and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery.
• Monitor inventory levels, forecast demand, and coordinate with production planning to avoid stockouts or overstock situations.
• Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and negotiate terms with vendors when necessary.
• Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, including scheduling carriers, preparing shipping documentation, and tracking deliveries.
• Work with freight forwarders and third-party logistics providers to optimize transportation costs and delivery times.
• Ensure compliance with import/export regulations and customs requirements.
• Record and track goods received; maintain items record and document necessary information.
• Conduct monthly physical counts, reconcile variances, and input inventory data into the system.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, lab, and finance teams to align procurement, logistics, and inventory activities with business needs.
