Job summary

KLA is seeking a Purchasing/Murchasing & Planning professional in Singapore to manage direct materials, execute PO's, and drive cost reductions. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, supply chain management, or logistics.
• 2–5 years of buying and production planning experience.
• Proficiency with SAP and MS Office is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Purchase direct materials, components and equipment as driven by MRP or Re-order Point systems.
• Review and analyze planning reports to ensure timely materials availability for production.
• Drive gross margin improvements through supplier negotiations on pricing and expediting costs.
• Lead inventory reduction efforts by improving cycle times and VMIs with suppliers.
• Ensure timely PO execution and address supplier quality and capacity issues.
• Communicate with suppliers regarding delivery timing and on-time delivery goals.
• Participate in business reviews with suppliers and help improve supplier scores.
• Ensure accurate and timely claims from suppliers on ECO and EOM projects.
• timely review and execution of ECN/ECO changes to avoid production impact.
• Develop actions to minimize excess inventory and optimize safety stock.
